Phased Record of Decision (ROD)
is now available!
The purpose of the Record of Decision (ROD) is to document the FHWA’s decision on the I-25 Valley Highway Project. Due to current funding limitations and the requirements for fiscal-constraint, only Phases 1 and 2 as identified in the Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), are being selected for implementation in this ROD. Subsequent project phases will be selected and implemented as additional funding become available, enabling CDOT and FHWA to work toward implementation of the entire Preferred Alternative. For each subsequent phase, a ROD will be issued detailing the phase to be implemented. CDOT and FHWA will review the information provided in the Final EIS and this ROD in preparing each subsequent ROD.
If you have a question or concern related to the I-25 Valley Highway Project, please contact the CDOT Senior Project Manager, Tony Gross, at 303.972.9112 or via email at tony.gross@dot.state.co.us.

This site has been created to facilitate public input and provide information about the Valley Highway Project and the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) process. The Valley Highway Project includes the reconstruction of Interstate 25 (I-25) and reconfiguration of interchanges from Logan Street to 6th Avenue, 6th Avenue from I-25 to Federal Boulevard, and the Santa Fe/Kalamath/Consolidated Main Line railroad intersection. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) have prepared an EIS and Phased Record of (ROD) for the Valley Highway Project.
FHWA and CDOT are committed to involving the public in all phases of the Valley Highway Project. The success of this project hinges upon communication and cooperation between FHWA, CDOT, and the local community. Over 200 meetings have been held with advisory groups, neighborhood associations, government agencies, individual businesses, business groups, property owners, tenants, developers, and the general public to discuss the project.
