MEETING PURPOSE

To present construction impacts and possible mitigation measures of the three build alternatives.

MEETING SUMMARY

Tony Gross from CDOT started out the meeting with introductions and a short project history, overview and schedule.

Dean Bradley gave an overview of the three current system alternatives. Discussions were focused on the corridor specific locations of greatest concern previously identified by the public and this citizen working group.

Cassie described the boards that were developed from the last group session which included the added “Mitigation Strategies” that were developed. A column called “Valley Highway Applications” was added which describes areas within the study corridor that the mitigation strategies could be applied. The group added additional strategies to the boards and they are noted in the following table in red.

  • Comments

One of the major points discussed was that informing the affected public of upcoming construction will minimize the conflict with the public.

The next Public Meetings will be held on January 22, and January 28, 2004 at Lighting Services (241 S. Cherokee).
