FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
CDOT ANNOUNCES PUBLIC DESIGN ALTERNATIVES MEETINGS FOR VALLEY HIGHWAY PROJECT – LOGAN TO 6th AVENUE Denver – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is looking for citizen input regarding interchange design alternatives for the Valley Highway Project, at public meetings on December 12 and 17 (see location and times below). The Valley Highway Project encompasses I-25 and adjacent major arterial streets from Logan Street to 6th Avenue. It includes the construction of the new Broadway viaduct as well as the redesign of the interchanges at Broadway, Santa Fe and Alameda for greater movement and efficiency. (It is a separate project from TREX). CDOT needs to gather public input on design alternatives to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement, which will consider major transportation improvements and possible impacts to neighborhoods, businesses and surrounding projects. The public is invited to attend either one of these public meetings about the Valley Highway Project. Each meeting begins with an Open House viewing of potential designs at 5:30 p.m., followed by a presentation at 6:30 p.m. and a facilitated discussion afterwards. Spanish translation will be available. Valley Highway Project – Design Alternatives Meetings: Thursday, December 12th or Tuesday, December 17th 241 S.
